We are currently establishing local and regional partners and will begin providing services July 1, 2017.
Caregiver Appreciation Spa Day - Those close to service members are all too familiar with both the invisible and visible wounds that come with war. With those injuries come daily stress and other challenges which can sometimes be unbearable. Our Spa Day is an opportunity for Hearts of Patriots and our community to show support for the amazing individuals who stand by our heroes.
Family Retreats - All retreats are free of charge and include all meals. Hearts of Patriots' retreat focuses on the caregiver believing they are central to the familiy unit and the ability to, along with their wounded Veteran, work together to find a new normal. In an effort to strengthen marital and family bonds the retreats provide programs/activities and fun for the spouse/partner, Veteran and familiy. Our goal is to offer both relaxation and education so they may gain a better understanding of what PTSD is, learn coping skills, and how to move forward together.
Caring for Caregivers
In our first year the the heart of our service programs will be Caring for our Caregivers. The vast majority of caregivers are heroic women. They are wives, mothers, sisters, girlfriends and fiances of service men suffering from invisible wounds. They are "on call" 24/7 and ignore their own needs so can care for their Veteran. Hearts of Patriots is committed to helping them care for themselves because we know that self-care is essential to caring for others.
Adopt a Spouse for the Holidays
In November of 2017, we will launch Adopt a Spouse for the Holidays. Many of our caregivers never receive gifts from their immediate family. Often finances are tight, young children are dependent on an adult to help them with gift giving and the crowds and stress of holiday shopping with young children in tow are intolerable for the Veteran.
Hearts of Patriots Membership
In our 2nd year we will begin our national membership program which will offer deep discounts on needed everyday services.
